The Purpose of Computer Memory

It is essential for anyone with a computer to understand the purpose of  computer memory. Like human memory, computer memory is the computer’s means of storing data. We have two kinds of memory- mass storage and random access memory. The latter is what is usually referred to when we are talking about computer memory. However, both mass storage and random access memory can be accurately referred to with this term. In any case, all computer systems will need at least some memory in order to be able to function as they should.

Phishing and Pharming Schemes

I have a PayPal account and am a regular user of this system. I use PayPal to receive payments for some of my products I market online. A year back, I received a mail supposedly from PayPal saying that someone has been consistently trying to log on to my account and that in order to be safe, I have to re register and provide the details again.

Following a link, I went ahead unsuspectingly and provided all the account details.  To my horror, I found that money was disappearing from my account on a regular basis and I was getting into trouble with my customers. It was then that my friend Jenny told me that I was probably a victim of a phishing and pharming scheme and I had to create a new account all over again.

Management Document Storage Standards

Our archive of documents is rapidly approaching a point where it will be unmanageable. It’s time to institute some
management document storage standards. We need to be able to find information quickly when we need it, and our present system isn’t cutting it.
Specifically, we need to investigate Legal Document Management. I think it would help us more than anything else with our overflowing filing system.
Of course implementing the management document storage standards will be a pain. People are going to have to change their habits, and that’s never an easy thing to make happen.

Electron Microscopes

So I’m heading off to college, and have decided to major in physics or chemistry. I’m really excited about getting into
Electron Microscopes. I’ve always wanted to get my hands on one of these and see all the things that are invisible to even the most powerful optical tools.
I’ve been reading up on how electron microscopes work in particular. So cool. I can’t fathom how you’d come up with such a machine and actually make it work. I wonder if I’ll ever come up with such an extraordinary breakthrough.
I suspect I’m going to be spending a lot of time in the lab this year. Suits me.

Webcasting Your Own Production

I am a college student and my name is Anthea. Video capturing is my biggest passion and I was looking to put my creativity to use. I was thinking about webcast radio and it was then that I came across a person, who was looking for someone to film a small seminar, which he planned to webcast.

I got the opportunity to film my first video for webcasting. I surprised my newfound friend with the effort I put into our small project. With a little bit of editing, the output turned out to be really great and it gave me tremendous confidence that latter helped me decide my career.

Software Testing is Part of Software Development

The process of  software testing  is a part and parcel of software development. This is done to ensure that there will be an acceptable level of reliability with regards to any programs that are released on the market. Software testing is the only way of eliminating software errors and bugs before they could make it into the market. Without this process, it would be next to impossible to develop any reliable computer software at all, much less develop software that is acceptably free from bugs that may potentially render your computer system unusable.
